COVID-19 Safety Measures

Due to COVID-19 we have implemented new measures to protect the safety and wellbeing of attendees, volunteers and staff at all our events and information sessions.

We operate under a COVID-Safe Checklist and keep updated on the latest restrictions and government direction to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and ensure your safety.

Visit covid19.qld.gov.au for more information.

COVID-Safe venues

We will only run events at venues who have registered as a COVID-Safe business and have provided us with a copy of their COVID-Safe Plan or Checklist.

Physical distancing

Larger room size to accommodate a minimum of 4 square metres per person and at least 1.5 metres spacing between each seat.

Reduced capacities

We have reduced the capacity of attendees.  This means unfortunately that everybody will need to RSVP for every function and we will not be able to cater for walk-ins.

Recording contact details

Contact details including name, address, and phone number of everyone attending the event or information session will be collected to assist health authorities with contact tracing if required.

Alternatively, for fast and secure check in, you can use the ‘Check in Qld’ app on your smart phone at our Logan Central premises or other venues where available.  The Check in Qld barcode is generally located at all entry points.

Hand hygiene

Access to hand washing facilities and hand sanitiser.

Higher risk groups

There are some members of our community who are at higher risk of serious illness should they contract COVID-19.  People who fit into any of the following categories should take extra care to protect themselves from infection:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 50 years and older with one or more chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes
  • People 65 years and older with chronic medical conditions
  • People 70 years and older
  • People with compromised immune systems.
